This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how TAILORU LLC, a Delaware limited liability company operating in New York ("TAILORU," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you access or use our website, services, educational offerings, community platforms, and consulting services (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Website Terms and Conditions dated April 12, 2026.
By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, please do not access or use our Services.

TAILORU provides the following Services:
(a) Consulting services on digital product design
(b) AI workshops and webinars
(c) Stitch Slack Community
(d) Collective expert network
All Services are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly provide Services to, or collect personal information from, individuals under 18 years of age.
The Services are intended for individuals located in the United States. This Privacy Policy does not address the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK Data Protection Act. If TAILORU expands Services to individuals in those jurisdictions, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect applicable requirements.
3. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
TAILORU collects only the following categories of personal information directly from users:
(a) Names
(b) Email addresses
We do not collect biometric data, body measurements, health data, billing information, credit card numbers, bank account information, or any other categories of sensitive personal information.
All personal data collected directly by TAILORU is stored in Mailchimp. TAILORU does not maintain its own client or user account systems. All user accounts are managed through third-party service providers, including Slack for the Stitch Community, Maven for courses, and other platforms described in paragraph 5 of this Policy.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
(a) To communicate with you about our Services, including sending newsletters, updates, and promotional materials
(b) To facilitate your participation in workshops, webinars, courses, and community platforms
(c) To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
(d) To administer the Collective expert network and facilitate collaboration among members
(e) To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions
(f) To improve and develop our Services
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information with third-party advertising networks.

TAILORU does not store any credit card, bank account, or billing information. All payment data is processed and stored solely by these third-party payment platforms in accordance with their respective privacy policies and security standards.

6. SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
TAILORU may share your personal information in the following circumstances:
(a) With Mailchimp: We share names and email addresses with Mailchimp for email marketing and subscriber management purposes.
(b) Among Collective Members: Members of the Collective expert network receive each other's email addresses to facilitate collaboration. Phone numbers are not shared.
(c) With Event Platforms: When you register for workshops, courses, or events, your registration data is shared with the applicable event platform (such as Maven, Luma, or LinkedIn Live).
(d) With AI Tools: AI tools may process data in connection with service delivery as described in paragraph 5.2.
(e) Legal Requirements: We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TAILORU, our users, or the public.
(f) Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
TAILORU does not sell personal information to third parties. TAILORU does not share personal information with third-party advertising networks for targeted advertising purposes.
7. DATA RETENTION
TAILORU retains personal information for the following periods:
(a) Mailchimp Subscriber Data (names and email addresses): Retained until you unsubscribe. Upon unsubscribe or deletion request, your data will be deleted from Mailchimp within 30 days.
(b) Consulting Engagement Records: Retained for 7 years after completion of the engagement for legal, tax, and contractual compliance purposes.
(c) Education/Workshop Registration Data: Retained by the applicable event platform in accordance with their policies. TAILORU retains only your name and email in Mailchimp per the subscriber data retention period above.
(d) Stitch Community Content: Retained by Slack per Slack's data retention policies. TAILORU retains only your name and email in Mailchimp.
(e) Collective Member Data: Retained for the duration of membership plus 1 year after departure from the Collective.
(f) Payment and Financial Records: Retained by QuickBooks, Chase, Stripe, PayPal, and Wise per their policies and applicable tax law (generally 7 years for tax records under IRS requirements).
(g) Website Analytics: Retained by Squarespace per their data retention policies.
(h) Research/Survey Responses: Retained by Google Forms and Typeform per their policies. TAILORU may retain anonymized and aggregated results indefinitely.
(i) Time Tracking Data: Retained by Toggl per their retention policies.
8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable state privacy laws. As of April 2026, the following states have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy laws: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
If you are a resident of one of these states, you may have the following rights:
(a) Right to Know/Access: You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and to request access to that information.

(g) Right to Opt Out of Profiling: You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
(h) Right to Appeal: If we deny your privacy request, you have the right to appeal that decision. To appeal, email thu@tailoru.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within 45 days.
(i) Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at thu@tailoru.com. We will respond to your request within 45 days. If we require additional time, we will notify you and may extend the response period by an additional 45 days.
9. OPT-OUT AND UNSUBSCRIBE
You may opt out of receiving marketing communications from TAILORU at any time by:
(a) Clicking the unsubscribe link included in any marketing email you receive from us
(b) Emailing thu@tailoru.com with your opt-out request
We will honor your opt-out request within 10 business days.
Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional or operational emails related to your use of our Services, such as confirmations, receipts, or important service-related notices. You cannot opt out of these transactional communications.
10. DATA DELETION REQUESTS
You may request deletion of your personal information by emailing thu@tailoru.com. Upon receiving your request:
(a) TAILORU will respond within 45 days. If additional time is required, we will notify you and may extend the response period by an additional 45 days.
(b) TAILORU will delete your information from Mailchimp.
(c) For data held by third-party platforms (such as Slack, Maven, Luma, or payment processors), you must contact those platforms directly to request deletion.
(d) TAILORU may retain certain data as required by law, including tax records and other information necessary for legal compliance.
11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
All TAILORU Services are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age.
In compliance with the New York Child Data Protection Act and other applicable laws, if we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from an individual under 18 years of age, we will delete that information within 14 days of discovery.

12. NEW YORK SHIELD ACT COMPLIANCE
In compliance with the New York Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security Act (NY SHIELD Act), TAILORU maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of personal information.
Since TAILORU's only directly held personal data consists of names and email addresses stored in Mailchimp, our primary security measures include:
(a) Securing access to our Mailchimp account through strong authentication measures
(b) Relying on Mailchimp's enterprise-grade security infrastructure and practices
(c) Limiting access to personal information to authorized personnel only
(d) Regularly reviewing and updating our security practices
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, TAILORU will:
(e) Notify affected individuals within 30 days of discovering the breach
(f) Notify the New York Attorney General, New York State Police, and New York Department of State as required by law
(g) Provide information about the nature of the breach and steps you can take to protect yourself
13. CAN-SPAM ACT COMPLIANCE
TAILORU complies with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Our email communications include:

Marketing emails include an opt-out option. Transactional and operational emails (such as service confirmations and important notices) do not include an opt-out option as they are necessary for the provision of Services.
14. AI TRAINING AND DATA USE
TAILORU does not currently use your personal information to train artificial intelligence models.
TAILORU reserves the right to use anonymized or aggregated data derived from Service usage for research, development, and improvement of our Services, which may include training AI models. Any such use will involve only anonymized or aggregated data. Personally identifiable information will not be used for AI training without your explicit consent.
You may opt out of having your data included in anonymized or aggregated datasets by:

If TAILORU changes its AI training practices to include identifiable personal data, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice to affected users prior to implementing such changes.

Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which uses cookies and other tracking technologies to provide and improve website functionality, analyze website traffic, and personalize content.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Please note that blocking cookies may affect your experience on our website.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to any conflict of laws principles. This governing law provision is consistent with our Website Terms and Conditions dated April 12, 2026.

TAILORU may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes to this Policy, we will:
(a) Post the updated Privacy Policy on our website with a new "Last Updated" date
